Beneficial Bacteria

Bacillus subtilis

Bacillus subtilis is a rod-like bacteria, oftenly found outside the human body, mainly in soil, but is equally beneficial for the human body as any other friendly bacteria. The most popular use for these bacteria was carried out by the Nazi Army in 1941, when they used it to treat dysentery in various military campaigns in the North African region.

Beneficial effects : B. subtilis aids in fighting off diarrhea.

Sources: Fermented soybeans, yogurt, ice cream, milk, and cheese.
